Hand/Arm Vibration

Hand/Arm Vibration

Many tools and items of equipment cause vibration, which can then be transmitted into the hands and arms of operatives. Prolonged exposure can lead to permanent health problems, which include a variety of symptoms and conditions but are collectively recognised as Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS). In an effort to help employers to meet their legal obligations and to promote the safety and well being of their workers, In Touch has developed a series of mobile vibration monitors that log the time, location and extent of any exposure to vibration.

  • Protect workers against excessive exposure to vibration
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safe working practices
  • Demonstrate compliance with relevant legislation
  • Help keep employees fit, active and productive
  • Minimise the costs of staff injury and absence from work
  • Improve record keeping about Exposure Limit Values
  • Gain better data for the production of risk assessments
